RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC.
June 13, 2011
The regular monthly meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club, Inc. was held on June 13, 2011 in the library of Eagle Glen Intermediate School. Present in person at the meeting were Sherri Jungman, Keith Bradford, Shawn Kaser, Jennifer Scrivener, Wendy Erwin, Stacy Lendt, Carla Daniel, Jenny Everson, Tonya Bennett, and Eddie Morgan.
May minutes were not read.
Director’s Report: The Beginning Band Camp Ice Cream Social is Thursday, June 16, 2011. Need Band Dads to help set up 150 chairs in the high school gym at 5pm. Students and parents will arrive at 5:30pm, concert will begin at 6pm, and ice cream will be served at 6:30pm. Plan on having 625 beginners and parents plus HS Band students and parents. Total cost for ice cream is $250-$300. A motion was approved to have the Band Booster’s pay $125 of ice cream cost.
Communication’s Report: No Report
Vice President’s Report: Presented the Football Program Sales Fundraiser report.
Upon motion by Jenny Everson and seconded by Sherri Jungman, the motion passed to keep the prices of the programs and the advertisement sales the same. $3795 for 5 books (500 copies).
It was approved to pay $65 ea. for Senior DVDs.
Treasurer’s Report: Created QuickBooks Reports, profit & loss, committee account reports, etc. Still working on organizing everything before handing over to new treasurer.
Hospitality Report: Will use money left in budget to purchase new table, foldable cart, and new coolers.
Uniform’s Report: No Report
Fundraising Report: We are in need of a new Fundraising Committee Head.
Still have shifts available to work Fireworks Stand: July 3rd & 4th 2pm –6pm and 6pm to 10pm.
Need to send out Band Extravaganza Thank Yous.
Band Dads’ Report: Band trailer is repaired and tags updated, all within budget.
New Business: Mr. Wilson has hired Mike McBain to overhaul percussion equipment.
The Ray-Pec School district has cut the extra duty pay since Linda Pierson’s retirement. Mr. Wilson plans to hire two drumline instructors and would like to approve payment of $25/hour not to exceed $2500.
It was requested that the Band Booster website be changed to another color other than yellow (difficult to read).
Freshmen students and parents need to be made aware that they need to register on the Band Website in order to receive emails, purchase t-shirts, etc.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:20pm.
