50 students have not paid their fees. There are seven students have not registered. Need to send letter out to these students before marching season is over.
Hospitality report
Committee is in need of an ice chest and new coolers. Several people have donated coolers and thermoses. Will reassess inventory.
It was asked if committee was still able to use left over money from last year’s budget as approved in July. If so, what is that amount?
In the process of researching prices for meal at Joplin game. Have contacted Chick-Fil-A.
8th grade band students and middle school drumline students will be attending the next football game. Need to make sure to have snacks to feed everyone.
With Joplin and extra students to feed at next game there is concern about money left in budget for UCM. If we are short for the UCM performance we will make a motion at that time.
Band Dads
New emblem for trailer will be completed free of charge.
Uniforms
The new uniforms are in. They were delivered in time for the first competition.
Have decided to create a rewards system to encourage students to keep the uniform closets clean. The cleanest closet will receive candy bars.
Must remind parents and students if a situation arises and the uniform is dirtied to the point of needing to be cleaned the student will need to pay for the extra dry cleaning.
Money for drum major outfits.
New Business
The idea of hosting a marching competition at Ray-Pec was discussed.
David Kent made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Carla Daniel seconded. Motion passed.
